Do you and your kids love sci-fi? Have you ever wanted to show your kids how much fun a drive-in cinema can be? Well, now's your chance to do both! Make your way to the new 1950s-inspired The Drive In in London this July for an unforgettable screening of the iconic Blade Runner (rated 15) by director Ridley Scott. Teenagers and adults alike will love this awesome film, which is now considered one of the greatest science fiction pictures of all time.
The film was released in 1982, and after a slow start at the box office, Blade Runner eventually became something of a cult hit. Its skilful blending of science fiction and film noir made it one of the best-regarded films in either genre. Set in dystopian Los Angeles in 2019, blade runner, Rick Deckard, must pursue and eliminate four escaped replicants from the colonies who have returned to Earth to find their creator. Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Daryl Hannah, this all-star cast give exceptional performances in one of the most achingly beautiful, sumptuously art-directed films ever. This is a film that has so much going for it that any movie fan owes it to themselves to watch it at least once.
Drive-in cinemas are the perfect way to enjoy a movie with your family whilst maintaining social distancing. Expect a top-of-the-range LED screen, a brilliant food delivery app serving American-style dishes and snacks via roller waiters and great entertainment - all from the safety and comfort of your own car. You will be able to enjoy a variety of fantastic films all summer, from classic movies you know and love to massive blockbusters and everything in between.
This may well be you and your children's first drive-in cinema experience - so don't delay and book your tickets to see Blade Runner today. It's an amazing opportunity to see an 80s Sci-Fi classic on the big screen!
