What to expect

Everyone's favourite nanny is making an appearance at the 1950s-inspired drive-in cinema at the Troubadour Meridian Water. The much-loved 1964 musical fantasy film (rated U), featuring Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke, is on the big screen this July for one morning only. Book your tickets today and don't miss out on a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time!

A magical nanny, Mary Poppins, arrives at the Banks' family London residence when they need her most. Mary Poppins and the Banks' two mischievous children embark on a series of adventures with her jovial chimney sweep friend, Bert.  The warm, eccentric nanny brings an exciting change to all their lives.

This Oscar-nominated film still packs a punch. There will be singing, dancing, a sprinkle of magic and of course, the memorable Mary Poppins soundtrack, with music and lyrics written by songwriters Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. Come and sing along to those Mary Poppins songs we all know, including A Spoonful of Sugar, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Feed the Birds and Let's Go Fly a Kite. The list goes on - no one can forget the Oscar-winning Mary Poppins song Chim Chim Cher-ee. You will be singing all the way home!

Not only will you all have a brilliant time watching this children's classic, but it's also comforting to know that it'll be a perfectly safe social distance-friendly setting. There will be a top-of-the-range LED screen and classic cinema refreshments all from the safety and comfort of your own car. And the whole process is totally contact-free, from setting up the film's audio in your car to scanning your ticket at arrival.

Whether your kids have seen the original Disney film or not, this fabulously family-friendly screening will definitely go down as easily as a spoonful of sugar. Don't miss Mary Poppins at the cinema this July!
