Read Along With Michelle Obama

What to expect

Famous storytellers are lending their talents to kids at the moment, so if your kids love the magic of storytelling, join the former First Lady for Mondays with Michelle Obama. Reading with your kids is one of the best ways to inspire, teach them and ignite those imaginations from their earliest years. Stories are one of the best ways to help your kids' creativity flourish, and the trend of having famous faces read to your kids doesn't seem to be slowing any time soon. You can stream Michelle's live video broadcast read-along sessions every Monday with PBS Kids on YouTube and Facebook. Enjoy a series of videos that feature Michelle reading aloud from beloved children’s books, including The Gruffalo, There's a Dragon in your Book, Miss Maple's Seeds and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Her aim is to give kids a chance to practice their reading and hear some wonderful stories, whilst so many families are under so much stress.

Expect 10 minutes of wonderful storytelling and a whole heap of fun from this famous storyteller. Whether you love Walt Disney, Julia Donaldson, Roald Dahl or Charles Dickens, these stories will encourage family engagement and a love of reading during this time at home. Could Mrs Obama be one of the greatest storytellers?
